What this site is — and is not

creditscore.org.uk is an independently operated information website. It is not a government body, charity, credit reference agency or FCA-authorised firm. The .org.uk address does not indicate official status.

We do not provide personalised financial advice, credit broking, product matching or lending decisions. We do not retrieve credit files, accept report uploads, connect bank accounts or request identity documents.

Sources and review approach

We use primary sources such as MoneyHelper, the Information Commissioner’s Office, GOV.UK, the FCA, credit reference agencies and official service documentation. Sources appear beside the relevant explanations so you can check the original information.

The launch content was checked on 12 October 2026. This is a content review date, not a claim of expert approval. We do not invent named authors, expert reviewers or endorsements.

Changing products and honest limits

Scores, service features and terms change. Experian’s 0–1,250 scale and TransUnion’s August 2026 0–999 announcement were checked directly. A partner service may not yet display the newest agency score.

ClearScore restricted access to its help pages during review; some information is supported by indexed official documentation rather than a full page read. Credit Karma’s refresh schedule and the exact timing of its new TransUnion score rollout remain unverified. The comparison identifies these limits and omits unconfirmed prices.

Provider links are included for reference, not as endorsements or a ranking. No affiliate arrangements are represented on this site.

Corrections and privacy

The calculator uses only the figures you type into this page. We do not save them or send them to a credit reference agency. Search looks through this site’s guides.

If you spot an error, keep a note of the page and the relevant official source. A verified contact address has not yet been supplied for this launch; we will add one when it is available.
